Koya Medical was founded through encounters with unmet needs for people with chronic lymphedema. Our CEO and Founder, Andy began researching treatment options when his own family member developed lymphedema after receiving prostate cancer treatment. He quickly observed that traditional at-home therapies, while effective, restricted patient mobility and movement and were difficult to adhere to. An engineer at heart, Andy looked for opportunities to reimagine how therapy can deliver treatment and improve quality of life.
Today, Koya Medical under Andy’s leadership has an expert team of healthcare innovators to develop Dayspring® - the first active compression solution designed to enable movement, mobility and personalized care. Built on a mobile platform using Flexframe® technology, Dayspring provides patients with a portable and easy to use treatment option.
Andy is the founder and President/CEO of Koya Medical, a team dedicated to treating chronic lymphatic and venous disease. Prior to this, Andy developed sight-restoring implants, which have treated more than 6 million patients worldwide.
